Meet Atley

Atley Wiese, a native of Hayes, Virginia, is a dedicated racecar driver and mental health advocate. He attends Liberty University’s Online Academy, balancing his academic pursuits with a burgeoning career in motorsports.

 

Wiese’s passion for racing ignited at a young age, leading him to begin his driving journey in 2018 with kart racing. Over the years, he has advanced to competing in Bandolero cars and Virginia Racers at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia. His commitment to the sport is evident in his continuous development and notable performances on the track.

 

Beyond racing, Wiese is an active mental health advocate. He serves as a Campus Captain for The Hidden Opponent, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about student-athlete mental health. In this role, he fosters supportive environments and shares resources to promote mental well-being among athletes.

 

Wiese’s dedication extends to broadcasting, where he has gained experience as an announcer. In 2024, he joined Langley Speedway’s Wacky Wednesday program as a summer intern, focusing on announcing and public address duties. This opportunity allowed him to hone his communication skills and explore potential career paths in broadcasting.
